The story that I'm currently working on is a private investigator story. The P.I. has to discover who's behind the kratoweed craze before it's too late! Who's behind it? The Catholic Church? A Politician? Who could it be?

Lulu publishing is perfect for comics?

I recently came across this video by EastFist, and I was impressed with the quality that lulu has to offer. Of course, there are benefits of going with a creator owned publisher like Alterna. The main benefits being better reach, and marketing. But if you prefer full control, it looks like Lulu might be for you.

After a successful series of literary magazine submissions, I am legitimately considering writing a comic book script. A three issue series is my goal. I might go with Alterna or Lulu, I'm not sure. But it's always good to have options.

I also want to write a 50 page short story, but that's not important at the moment.

Retro Game Review: Legends of Wrestling

Legends of wrestling hit the shelves in 2001, and it was produced by Acclaim. I'm only aware of it's existence, because my grandma owned it. Legends of wrestling features Hulk Hogan, RVD, the Von Erich brothers, and more! The graphics are good for it's time, but the game mechanics kill the fun. The default option for moving your wrestler is the d-pad instead of the analog stick. This would've made sense for the NES, SNES, and Gameboy. This is completely unacceptable for the PlayStation 2, it's inconvenient for the player.

Having to smash a button, while stunned is kind of lame too. A simple counter move mechanic is preferable, I don't really see the point in the stun thing to begin with. A game based on the terrority era could've been great, this attempt wasn't unfortunately.

News, ideas, and goals

Hello readers!

My very first literary magazine submission has been accepted, and I couldn't happier with myself. It's a Wild West story with some crude humor. More flash fiction is on the way, and I'll be doing comic reviews occasionally. I'll be starting with, the comics that I already have. I have a decent stack of pre-2010 comics, but I'd prefer to post about newer comics. The Valiant is the only post-10s comic that, I will be posting about.


Comics: The Valiant, City of Heroes #1, and a few others.  

Goals: Several accepted litmag submissions, two books, writing for a wrestling promotion, and becoming a comic book writer.

A few against many

My brothers, and I stood while others fled the battlefield for the security of the walls. The Moors outnumbered us five to one, but we refused to move from our position. Every wave of poorly trained levies fell before us like wheat getting slashed by a scythe. Are their lives truly worth so little that, they can be thrown at us like this? How can a ruler treat his people so poorly? If I survive this, I will be called a hero for slaughtering countless waves of men. I live, and die for an honorable man, but I pity those on the other side. For they are shown no such respect for their actions in the name of their cause. The Moors must be expelled from our lands.

New name

Steppepulp has been rebranded as Swordpulp. It's the same basic idea, but with a wider set of options.

The Yerevan Raid

The sky is black, and the wind was whistling as the Khan rode through Yerevan. The women, and children whimpered as he passed. The Khan was feeling merciful for the very first time in his life, So he elected to only kill the men of the city. Jewels, coins, and beautiful women were being gathered for the Khan by his men. All of this was brought to the center of the city, where the Armenian King was tied to a post waiting to feel the Khan's blade. The sweet embrace of death awaits him, and to the Khan went the spoils.

Thoughts of a Khan's Wife

"My Khan is a strong leader, and impressive horsemen, I am truly blessed to be one of his wives. Everyone hangs on his every word, waiting for a command, My Khan is like a god in human form. Just outside of camp, You'll find groups of young boys fighting over who gets to pretend to be him this time. It's a rather amusing to behold. He says that we will be raiding the land, where the Babylonians once ruled very soon. I'll admit that, I'm not looking forward to it. I hate sand!"

The Delhi Sultan's daughter

"Your armies lay waste to anything that you lay your eyes upon, and peoples that submit enjoy better lives. I love the people of this Sultanate, and I do not wish to see them slaughtered like the decadent Tangut. So, I have a deal to make with you, My Khan. I will become one of your wives, If you are willing to show mercy. "

The old Mujahid speaks to the Khan

The Khan sat beside the old Mujahid as he put wood on the fire. The Mujahid quietly mumbled something that sent him into a trance for a moment. Once he was satisfied with the fire, he sat down. "Kabul is guarded by the Sultan's finest warriors, and his palace has a hidden chamber filled with beautiful concubines from all across the land. The Sultan may be known for piety but in truth, He's no better than the decadent tribesmen that he despises." said the old Mujahid. The Khan used this knowledge to his advantage by hiring young boys to spread the word through Kabul. The Sultan's demise came in the middle of the night during his final orgy.

"I hope to bless you with many sons, My Khan. Our family will rule everything from Seoul to Beirut, I'm certain of it! But enough about that the servants are bringing roasted horse meat, and yoghurt!"
